Description

A studio portrait of actor-director Frank Montgomery, Milford B. Martin, Spokane, Washington, ca. 1917. The views shows him in nearly full-length and he wears a buttoned overcoat, bow tie and hat, while also carrying a cane. It appears the photo was taken just after he returned to the city where he lived and worked as an actor in the first years of the century, after the film stardom of his wife Josephine M. Workman (Princess Mona Darkfeather) ended. With some signficant dampstaining and soiling, major creases, edge losses and tears, the condition is poor to fair.
