A studio portrait of actor Frank Montgomery as a tramp character, ca. 1910. The image from mid-torso shows the performer in costume of tattered clothing and makeup, including dishelved hair and beard as "Monty." On the reverse is an inscription, "Frank E. Montgomery / 1896 to 1914 / The trampiest Tramp that ever tramped." With severe dampstaining, heavy soiling, losses, dogeared corners and heavy damage to the matte, the condition is poor.
