A studio portrait of Effie McKee Akley, Frank Robbins, Oil City, Pennsylvania, ca. 1881. The image shows the subject seated on a studio prop and wearing a black dress with white lace collar dual rows of buttons, and fringe. On the reverse is a pencil inscription with the name of her husband, George S. Akley. She was the mother of Frank E. Akley (Montgomery), actor, director and producer and husband of actor Josephine M. Workman (Princess Mona Darkfeather.) With warping, stains and soiling, the condition is fair.
