Description

A studio portrait of film maker Frank E. Montgomery, Martin Studio, Spokane, Washington, ca. 1918. The image shows Montgomery (born Frank Akley) in a three-piece suit with a bow tie and turned to his left and holding a cigarette in his left hand. At the bottom is an inscription by the actor and director to a Miss Geske and signed "Your Director." Montgomery was the husband of Princess Mona Darkfeather (Josephine Workman) and the two were in Spokane in 1918. There are missing pieces at two corners, creases, some staining, extensive soiling and abrasions, so the condition is fair.
