A studio portrait of Frank E. Akley, Russell H. Beckwith, Helena, Montana, ca. 1889. The image shows the boy leaning against a studio prop wall next to a pillar and he wears a suit and holds a hat in his right hand, while a dog lies next to him. Akley went on to be actor, director and producer Frank E. Montgomery, husband of Josephine M. Workman (Princess Mona Darkfeather.) With major damp staining, heavy soiling, separation of the photo from the matte, warping and wear, the condition is poor.
