Description
A studio portrait of Merle Elliott by E. S. Comings, Los Angeles, ca. 1898. The view shows the young man, probably in his twenties, from the upper torso up. He wears a dark suit, white shirt with a high removable collar and a dark tie with square patterns. His name is inscribed twice on the reverse. The photographer's cartouche is at the lower left. With some edge abrasion, the condition is good.
