A studio portrait of Mission Play performer Lola Montes, John E. Reed, Hollywood, ca. 1947. The image shows the dancer, born Gertrude Tashma and of Russian ancestry, in costume and striking a pose. Reed's mark is at the lower right and an inscription at the top reads, "Para José / Como un / recuerdo cariñoso de / Lola Montes." (For José / Like a / fond memory from / Lola Montes." With some edge browning and very light soiling, the condition is good.
