A studio portrait of Mission Play performer Lola Montes, ca. 1947. The image shows the dancer, born Gertrude Tashma and of Russian ancestry, in costume that does not appear related to the play and striking a pose. An inscription at the top left reads, "Para Jerry Ballard / Un / recuerdo affectuoso / de / Lola Montes." (For Jerry Ballard [brother of the donor] / An / afectionate memory from / Lola Montes." With very light soiling, the condition is good.
