Description
A ticket for an excursion to the Oak Park subdivision, San Gabriel Valley, ca. 1915. One side of the ticket has red and yellow fields headed by the title "Over the Romance Trail" and describes the sightseeing, accompanied by guides and lecturers, from 303 S. Hill Street in downtown Los Angeles to the tract. There are also two stamps, one reads "CARSON" and the other "9." The reverse gives specific locations on the trip, including Angels Flight, the Plaza, Lincoln Park, San Gabriel Mission and fine homes in Alhambra and Pasadena to the subdivision, with a noon dinner. The name of the realty firm at the Hill Street address was Shafer & Tilburne. With some soiling and edge rubbing, the condition is good.
