Description
A ticket stub for an auto race, probably in Culver City, California, 27 November 1924. The item shows the seat location at Grand Stand A and gives the section, row and seat number. The seat price and "war tax" are also included, as is the date, name of track operator, the Speedway Corporation of Los Angeles," rain check information, and signature of the company president. In the background corners are the initials for the company and the number "1." The Speedway Corporation of Los Angeles built a track near Culver Boulevard and Overland Avenue and the grand opening was 14 December 1924, a few weeks earlier than the event for this stub. With light soiling and edge rubbing, the condition is good.
