Description

A tract map for the Valencia Tract, Wirsching Subdivision, Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, September 1902. The item shows an area north of Brooklyn Avenue, now Cesar Chavez Avenue between Britannia and San Benito streets, composed of ten lots and provides measurements and other details. Inscribed with pencil within adjoining lots are the names of two Wirsching brothers, whose father, Robert, created the original subdivision and then the specific tract, named for his wife. The Wirsching residence on Britannia still stands. With many creases, soiling, a few stains and acid browning, the condition is fair.
