Description
A trade card with a Christmas scene by W. F. McLaughlin and Company, Chicago, ca. 1890s. The color lithographed image shows a boy and girl on the knees begging with folded hands towards a miniature Santa Claus in burgundy clothing and a sprig of holly at his head. He stands on a parlor table with a vase and flowers next to him. The phrase "McLaughlin's XXXX Coffee" is at the upper left while on the reverse is information about the product and a small note that there were sixteen different designs of picture cards, one of which was in every coffee package. With adhesive residue, stains and soiling on the reverse and some soiling and stains on the margins on the front, the overall condition is good.
