A U.S. Geological Survey Map of the Torrance Quadrangle, edition of 1934, topography surveyed in 1923. Included is the Santa Monica Bay, Edison Intake Pier, Malaga Cove, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Lawndale, Sausal Redondo, San Pedro, Torrance, Los Palos Verdes, Lomita, Gardena. There is the General Petroleum Tank Farm, Pacific Electric Car Shops, Columbia Steel Corporation, Union Oil Tank Farm, Strawberry Park, Manhattan Beach School, Clifton. Also visible is the Atchison Santa Fe line and the Pacific Electric line. On the reverse is information on topographic maps of the United States and a key guide of standard symbols, water and relief symbols. There is a deep vertical crease on the left side, moderate creases along the edges due to handling, a tear at the upper left side and minor stains. It is in fair condition.
