Description
A view from the middle of a street in downtown Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The photographer stood on streetcar tracks running down the center of the street. Commercial buildings line thre street and there are American flags as decorations on some, suggesting a date near the Fourth of July. There are horse-drawn conveyances and pedestrians on the thoroughfare, as well. With album paper residue on the reverse and light soiling, the overall condition is good.
