Description

A view of the Antigua Casa Presidencial de Honduras in Tegucigalpa, ca. 1910s. The building shows scaffolding around the facade, suggesting the photo was taken during the time of construction which was between the years of 1916-1922. The building's architecture with its central dome, circular towers, battlements, pointed arch windows, stone carvings, and columns shows a mix of French Renaissance Revival, Neo-Medieval, and Italian influence. The building was the residence and office of the Honduran presidents from 1922 to 1990. At the bottom written in white lettering is the name of the building "Casa Presidencial." With moderate creasing, discoloration, ink stain on the reverse and the number "46" written on the top of the front side, it is in fair condition.
