Description

A view of Santa Clara de Asis Mission, California, ca. 1920s. The photograph was taken within the Santa Clara University campus, looking toward the Mission church. There is a dividing and long patch of grass with a cacti growing, a hedge and further in the background are palm trees as well as other trees. The building on the left with two bell towers is the Mission church. The bell towers were destroyed in a fire in 1926. In that same year, Thomas W. Temple II graduated from Santa Clara University. Toward the right is another building, possibly a school building. With minor warping, stamps on the reverse are "VELOX" and "40," it is in good condition.
