Description

Color: Black; White An abstract of California's fish and game laws for 1927-28, published by the state's Fish and Game Commission and printed by the state printing office, June 1927. The item is a single sheet of cardstock folded into quarters. On the outside front panel is the title, the note that the laws were valid until 90 days after the close of the 1929 legislature, has the cost and season limits for the commercial fishing license, specifies district restrictions on certain laws, and has notes on when licenses should be presented and that full law texts are in the penal code. The reverse panel gives the costs and season for a trapping license and has a map of the state's fish and game districts. When the item is fully opened one side presents the opened and closed seasons for a variety of fish and game types by district and month and gives limits on bag and possession provisions. At the bottom is the beginning of notes that continue on the other side, on which are the costs and seasons for licenses for hunting, angling, deer hunting and commercial hunting clubs licenses and on which are the first two described panels, with the title and district map. With spine, corner, and top edge rubbing, slight surface soiling, page browning, and some small stains on one panel, the general condition is good.
