"Abstract of Title, Lot 'A' of International Savings and Exchange Bank Property," compiled by Title Guarantee and Trust Company, ca. 1920. The 319-page item inscribed on a front flysheet as "Guarantee of title to Sep. 1920 on hand," covers the title history of the lot which is south of Temple Street, west of Spring Street and east of New High Street in maps of the era. Among the owners was Jonathan Temple, who was deeded a portion of the property from Antonio Valdez on 22 June 1839 and whose dealings are recorded until his death in 1866, including his petition and approval thereof for the creation of Temple Street. Maps on pages 6, 14, 19, and 28 show the area involved. Later transactions concerning the lot follow. With scratches, scuffs, edge rubbing and some spine separation to the boards, but pages generally clean with some ink bleeding, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
