Description
Actor Monte Blue boarding train for film shoot in Papeete, 1928. The view is a slightly out-of-focus closeup of the actor dressed in a long overcoat, holding a bouquet of flowers in his left hand and his hat doffed and extended in his right in the opening of a passenger car. On the reverse is a pasted sheet with typed information about Blue's trip to the South Seas to shoot a film called "Southern Skies." This film was retitled "White Shadows in the South Seas" and was completed in 1928, hence the photo's assumed date. A modern bar code sticker is also on the reverse. With some creases, dogeared corners, soiling, and edge wear, the overall condition is good.
