Color: White
An admission ticket to a barbeque held at the Temple oil lease, referred to here as Temple Grounds, at the Old Mission, July 1917. Printed on plain white card stock with a classic black-colored font, the ticket reads "Admission to Dance, 'BULL HEAD' SUPPER AND REFRESHMENTS/ at Temple Grounds, Old Mission." Below this toward the center is a line for the date and year. Under that line is "REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED AT BOOTH ONLY." The next line reads "GOOD MUSIC [MARK] [MARK] GOOD DANCE FLOOR." AT THE BOTTOM IS "BRING CARD ALONG." The card is not filled in, but is assumed to refer to the celebration held in July 1917 for the successful completion of the first well at the Temple oil lease property near the corner of San Gabriel and Lincoln boulevards in what is now Montebello. See 97.58.13.1 for another copy. With some very light surface soiling and discoloration, the card is in good condition.
