Book: "Adobe Days: A Book of California Memories" by Sarah Bixby Smith (Cedar Rapids: Torch Press, 1925), 208 pp. A light brown hardcover book, no dustjacket, with a mat-like spine cover with paper spine label and text on both spine and front cover in brown ink. The book is a memoir of a member of the Bixby ranching family, who owned the ranchos Los Cerritos, Los Alamitos, and other portions. Mrs. Smith also recalled her life at the family's Los Angeles home. There are no illustrations. The book is in good condition with some minor stains on some pages, abrasions on the cover corners, and some very minor page discoloration. Written in dark ink at the top right of the front fly leaf is, "Veta H. Jones/Xmas 1925."Lexicon
