Adobe making area, Workman Homestead, ca. 1924. The image shows four large brick-making kilns in the field near where the construction of La Casa Nueva was taking place. In front of the kilns are two large pits for digging up material and there are stacks of bricks, piles of kindling, and wheelbarrows nearby. A worker is in the pit at the background left and another man molds adobes left of center. In the background are trees, probably walnuts. As this print was made from the original negative, it is mint.
