"Adohr Creamery Cook Book," published by Adohr Dairies and printed by Mathews Industries, Inc., 1926. The front cover has a border with intertwined fruits and vegetables, within which, at the top, is the title and, below, is a photograph of a mother and daughter on the telephone captioned with "Be sure to send an extra quart every day." Contents of the book include recipes divided into the sections of soups, fish, oyster, etc., chicken, etc., vegetables, salads, salad dressings and sauces, desserts, drinks, and confections, bread, muffins, etc., cottage cheese recipes, cottage cheese meat substitutes, cottage cheese vegetable dishes and sandwiches, and cottage cheese desserts. At the inside front cover is information about whipping cream and on the inside back cover is information about the use of milk in the diet and how much more should be used than is. The back cover gives information on various Adohr products. In fair overall condition, the item has spine, edge, and corner rubbing, acid burns on the inside of the covers and adjoining pages, spine brittleness, cover creases, dented corners, cover surface soiling, page yellowing, foxing, pest damage to the cover, stains on the cover and the inside, including handling stains, staple tarnish and tears along the spine and cover edges.Lexicon
