Description
"Adolphus Busch Gardnes [sic], Pasadena, Calif." image number two, unattributed, but possibly Graham Photo Company, ca. 1910s. The image shows a pond with a fountain in the center and wide expanses of grass and trees in the flat area along the Arroyo Seco. In the background are bare hills across the Arroyo. An ink inscription with the title is on the reverse. The gardens existed from 1905 to 1938 and were a major tourist attraction until they were developed into private homesites. With some soiling, creases, and edge wear, the condition is good.
