"Advanced Standing Memorandum," University of Southern California, 26 October 1927. The document presents space for preparator and college records, as well as distribution of credits for students applying at the university with prior college or prep school backgrouds with transferable units. The document was for Harriette Abby Saxton, born in 1878 in Wisconsin, who was a Los Angeles Public Library librarian and who had graduated from the Oshkosh Normal School, a teacher training college in Wisconsin, in 1900 and worked as a librarian in Washington state, where she was married briefly before becoming quickly widowed. She was admitted to USC at age 49 as a tentative sophomore based on her accepted credits. She continued to work in her field until the 1950s and died at age 102 in 1981. With a fold tear, many creases, a folded bottom area, and light soiling, the condition is fair.
