Description

Advertisement, Dick Whittington Commercial Photographer and the Mission Play, ca. 1931. The advertisement shows a blurb in praise of the Mission Play's longevity and it's upcoming 3000th performance. The blurb also highlights the long-term involvement of Juan Zorraquinos and Juanita Zorraquinos (maiden name Vigare) in the production as dancers. The advertisment states that the Dick Whittington company are the official photographers for the Mission Play. A black and white photograph of Juanita Zorraquinos speaking with John Steven McGroarty, the play's author, is featured on the advertisement. A nonprofessional attempt to support the object has left it adhered to a separate piece of paper. With ink stains, minor discoloration, minor tears, a moderate tear, minor creases, and a weakened support, the object is in fair condition overall.
