AERIAL PHOTOGRAPH OF EL ENCANTO CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL
Color: Black; Brown; White
A framed black and white aerial photograph of El Encanto Convalescent Hospital, ca. 1940s. The Workman House is at the center surrounded by many trees and bushes. At the left of this is the Water Tower, auditorium, dining hall, garage, swimming pool/reservoir, and tennis court. La Casa Nueva is at the right. Only the second floor is visible through the trees that surround the home. Evergreen Lane, which is lined by trees is across the left of the homes. Pillars that mark the main entrance to the site flank a driveway at the far right. Across the center of the back are train tracks. Many trees, fields, and some homes are in the surrounding areas. Hills are across the top. With abrasions and scratches on the frame, some water damage on the photograph, and a stain on the back, the object is in fair condition overall.
