AERIAL VIEW OF LOS ANGELESEntry/Object ID
2004.14.2.2Description
Color: Black; White
A photograph of an aerial view of part of Los Angeles, 23 September 1928. The day was overcast, so little more is visible than some streets, the tops of some structures, and some automobiles on the roads. Wires, evidently part of the wing structure of the open biplane, are also visible. At the top margin is the ink inscription "Over L.A. in fog 9/23/28" while at the bottom is "Taken by Stew with Theo." At the left margin is the inscribed number "144." On the reverse is a stamped number "02" at the bottom right corner. Other than slight yellowing, there is no wear or damage to the image, which is in good condition.
