A color aerial photograph of the Homestead and surrounding area, ca. 1981. The Homestead is at the lower center with the restoration of the historic element completed and the newer elements of the pond; Pio Pico Memorial Walkway; parking lots; and general landscpaing finished, as well. Toward the foreground and upper center are portions of the City of Industry from Valley Blvd. on the north to Gale Ave. on the south and Hacienda Blvd. on the east to Seventh Ave. on the west. In the background, toward the top, is the western section of Hacienda Heights, with the Puente Hills at the very top. The Pomona Freeway (60) curves along from left to right at the upper third. Aside from a few surface scratches and edge wear, the artifact is in good condition.
