AERIAL VIEW OF THE HOMESTEAD FROM THE WEST, CA. 1978 Color: Black and white A black and white aerial photograph of the Homestead site, ca. 1978. In the background at the upper right is the cemetery, while at the left is the El Encanto Convalescent Care Center. To the right is a dirt road leading to the cemetery with portions of old Evergreen Lane visible between that road and the historic houses. The empty fields surrounding the site include the parking lots for the hospital, museum, and proposed hospital site, as well as the extension of Don Julian Rd. built a few years later.
