Description

AERIAL VIEW, POSSIBLY OF NAVAL YARD NEAR LONG BEACH, 1920s Color: Black; White A photograph of an aerial view of what may be the naval yard near Long Beach, 1920s. The view is from over the water at the edge of the land area, where there are many buildings, with one at the center being a large three-story structure. It appears like an administrative structure and has expansive lawns and sidewalks around it. There are other structures, including churches, other large administration-like buildings, roads and so forth. It is possible the area might be near Point Fermin and San Pedro, but the only identifier is the ink inscription "LOS ANGELES" at the center of the bottom margin. With small corner creases; some surface soiling; minor yellowing; warping; and light front and back stains, the condition is good. Number-Units: 1
