AGNES AND THOMAS TEMPLE AT SOUTHEASTERN ARCH, MISSION WALKWAY
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of Agnes and Thomas Temple posed at the southeastern entrance gate to the Mission Walkway and La Casa Nueva, ca. summer 1925. Agnes, at left, wears a light-colored, knee-length skirt with thick horizontal striping; and same colored blouse, knee-length jacket, hose and high-heeled shoes and cloche hat. She holds a small handbag in her right hand. Thomas wears a gray double-breasted suit jacket and gray trousers; white shirt and tie; light-colored Panama hat and light-colored shoes. The two stand next to one part of the wooden gate at the arch. The main wall of the Mission Walkway appears completed and some of the wooden arbor supports are in. A pile of bricks, tile and wood are at the bottom right. Through the arch is the end of the east wing of La Casa Nueva, largely completed, with a small truck or vehicle parked next to it and a piece of metal next to the wall. Dirt, wood and other debris are visible. In the foreground, the sidewalk on the exterior of the arch is laid, but the tile for the Workman dedication plaque is not set. On the reverse, the word "VELOX" is stamped onto the paper and the number "86" is at the lower right. There appears to be little or no damage or wear to the object, which is in good condition.
