Description

AGNES TEMPLE FATJO AND AN UNKNOWN MAN AT A TROPICAL LOCATION Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Agnes Temple Fatjo and an unknown man at a tropical location, May 22, 1930. The pair are at the left center standing in front of a palm tree. The man is on the left and wears a light suit, tie, and has his left hand over his face. Temple is on the right and wears a knee-lenght sleeveless dress. She holds something in her right hand and looks towards the right. Many palms are across the background and on the right are several two-story buildings with pitched roofs. It was a very windy day judging by the appearance of the palms and Temple's dress. On the back are stamps with the number, "604" and the words, "WEBCO PRINT / APR 22 1930 / MADE IN SAN J..." The photograph was taken during Agnes Temple's honeymoon and was housed in her album, which is item 96.7.94.1, along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With water damage and stains, the object is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
