Description

AGNES TEMPLE FATJO AND LUIS P. FATJO ABOARD SHIP Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Agnes Temple Fatjo and her husband, Luis P. Fatjo, aboard an ocean liner, ca. 1930. The two are part of a group on the third deck of the ship, though it is not clear whether they were leaving or arriving in port when the image was taken. It is possible the image shows them coming from or going on their six-month European honeymoon in 1929-30. Because they are seen from a distance, details are hard to make out, but Agnes wears a white dress and Luis Fatjo wears a suit. There are a few other people near them and others on the second deck. The smokestack looms above the group and other details, including emergency boats, stateroom portholes and the black hull of the ship are notable. On the reverse center is the number "613" stamped and there is a pencil mark below this. There is some water damage, especially at the top left corner, where part of a mounting corner is adhered, so the object is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
