Description

AGNES TEMPLE REPRODUCTION STAINED GLASS WINDOW AT BLACK LINE STAGE Color: Brown A copy of a color polaroid photograph of the Agnes Temple reproduction stained glass window at the black line stage, 11 April 1980. The piece of glass hung in a window at the John Wallis Studio and consisted of the outline of the work in black line. This was the basis for future work in developing leading and the etching of details into the glass before it was painted. Through the window is a car parked in front of the studio and, across the street, a house. On the reverse in black ink is the inscription "Temple Mansion / Anges [sic] stained glass / window at black line / (leaded design) atage / at Wallis' studio / photo by archt. 4/11/80." Below this, covered by a piece of tape, is the stamp of restoration architect Raymond Girvigian with his name, address, and telephone number. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
