Description

AGNES TEMPLE SEATED IN LA CASA NUEVA COURTYARD Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Agnes Temple seated on the east side of the courtyard of La Casa Nueva, ca. August 1927. Agnes is seated in a wooden chair in front of the door to her father's bedroom. She wears a light-colored blouse with the collar flared; a light-colored knee-length skirt; and white hose. In her lap is a large straw hat with rounded top and a band on one side that may be a handbag strap. Behind her is the dark-colored wood door with part of the light-colored molding. To her right is a metal bird-cage and, behind that, part of the hall window leading from her father's bedroom past the bathroom and to the kitchen area. A few of the ziggurat baseboard tiles are noticeable, along with a small portion of the flgastone floor of the portico, beneath which Agnes is seated. On the reverse upper right is the stamped number "28" and there is also a pencil mark, perhaps as a checkmark, at the center. The artifact is in good condition with a small crease at the lower right corner and very light surface soiling and discoloration. Number-Units: 1
