Description

Color: Black; Brown; White A fragment believed to be from an agricultural implement, ca. 1900. The iron artifact is one solid piece, resembling a shoe in form, with one end closed and slightly rounded and the other having a wide, open mouth. On one side, near the mouth, is a hole, presumably for a bolt, screw or bar. The artifact may be a tooth from a plow, but there are no other notable features to identify the object, which was found in the field across Don Julian Rd. from the museum. With considerable rust and the accmulation of mud and dirt, as well as damage to the metal, the object is in poor condition.
