Description

Color: Black; Orange; White "Alhambra (The Town of My Golden Dreams)," lyrics by C. J. Burns and F. F. Gualano, and music by F. F. Gualano, 1923. The front cover, printed in black, orange, and white, has the title at the top. At the center is an ornate Spanish-style doorway, through which is seen a couple facing away towards a landscape of orange groves and snow-capped mountains. The woman wears a mantilla and sleeveless dress, and the man wears a sombrero, long-sleeve shirt, sash, and a sarape over one shoulder. At the left of the illustration are the words "Dedicated / To / The Alhambra / Business and / Professional / Woman's Club." At the right of the illustration are the names of the composers, while the publisher's name, F. F. Gualano, is at the bottom. On the back is a brief description and history of the town. The music is in moderato tempo for a treble clef instrument. In good overall condition, the artifact has some light damage including abrasions and creases at the corners; a label on the back top right corner on which is written a number with ink; some surface soiling; browning of the paper; small stains; and a tear at the bottom of the spine.
