Description

Color: Black; White A reproduction photograph of Lucretia del Valle from the Mission Play, ca. 1910s. Del Valle wears a silk taffeta-looking dress with roses and other floral decorative patterning and a plaid collar, has a Mexican fringed shawl around her shoulders, and holds, in her right hand, a Chinese fan in front of her. She has her left hand resting on her hip. Her hair appears to be elaborately braided and she has a mantilla comb at the top of the back of her head. There is little else to identify the place, other than a studio. As a newly-created artifact, the item is in mint condition. The original photograph is now part of the Homestead Collection (Object ID: 2022.3.1.94); thus, this reproduction may be deaccessioned in the future. Number-Units: 1
