Description

An advertising race car for an auto dealer, Los Angeles, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. The image shows the vehicle parked near other cars and a structure. Lettering on the hood is for what seems to read "Goodman O'Rourke / Motor Company" and an address on South Figueroa Street. On the rear are the words "Used Cars." Three sedans are parked behind the race car. A pencil inscription on the reverse reads "race car / seen in / Los Angeles." Boyd, a road scout for the American Automobile Association, was on a 37,000-mile trip through the U.S., Mexico and Canada. With some stains and soiling, mainly on the reverse, the condition is good overall.
