Description

An advertising statue for Twin Inns restaurant, Carlsbad, California, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. The image shows two statues, a larger one with a chicken atop a pedestal that has the business name and "Real Fried Chicken" on the face and a smaller one that also has a chicken atop a pedestal, with this having the business name on it. The items are in a landscaped area near some structures. A photo developer's stamp has the date 16 August 1928 and a San Diego location, although the group of photos this came with are indicated as being taken in 1925. Boyd, a road scout for the American Automobile Association, was on a 37,000-mile trip through the U.S., Mexico and Canada. With some stains and soiling, mainly on the reverse, the condition is good overall.
