An empty bottle of Purity Olive Oil, Charles P. Grogan, Los Angeles, ca. 1907. The five-ounce bottle has a square bottom and narrow round mouth. There is a neck label signifying adherence to federal and state food laws and having Grogan's signature. The main label has an image of a woman in a bonnet and a flying white dove near some olives. Grogan, one of three major manufacturers of olive oil in Los Angeles, produced the product from about 1900 to 1920 and died in 1922. With dirt and residue inside and the labels torn and dirty, the overall condition is fair to poor.
