"An Illustrated HIstory of Southern California," (Chicago: Lewis Publishing Company,) 1890. The work is a general history of San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange counties and contains biographies of citizens, some of whom are featured in portraits. There are a few portraits of places and structures, as well. The work was rebound in a library-type cloth binding, which has some edge rubbing, while there is browning, tears, and soiling on some of the pages, so the overall condition is good.Lexicon
