An invoice receipt for items purchased at Caswell and Ellis, Nos. 80 and 82 Main Street, Los Angeles, 26 November 1872. Written in ink, the receipt was made out to Mr. F. M. Fowler for a list of items and their prices. Caswell and Ellis was a general store, importers and dealers in general merchandise. The list includes candles, coffee, soda, powders, soap, pepper, pickles, window glass, axe, white rock, oil and other items including clothing. The receipt is generally in good condition.
