Description

A photograph of a woman taken at the Workman Homestead, California in 1912. The unidentified woman wears a dark feathered hat, blouse and long skirt. She stands in the middle of a dirt road that forks left and right behind her and holds a wicker suitcase. Also in the background are trees, a large field and a smaller pitched roof structure that is possibly a chicken coop. On the right is a wooden fence. Also of note, the background resembles the path way that leads to El Campo Santo Cemetery. The land once belonged to William Workman and was formerly known as Rancho La Puente. With moderate yellowing, warping, acid burn, adhesive residue with stains, and soiling, the object is in fair condition.
