A black and white photograph of an unknown man and woman laying on a lawn, ca. 1930s. The couple is at the center on their stomachs with the woman closest to the camera. She wears a sleeveless dress, two-tone shoes, has her legs bent up, and rests her head on her left hand. The man is at her left and wears eye-glasses, a shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark trousers, and both elbows on the grass. Both the man and woman smile at the camera. Behind them is a fruit tree and to the right is a stone path and a wood shed. At the right of the foreground is a small tree and a planter. Across the background is a wood fence and many trees, including a palm behind a roof-top on the left. Written in pencil at the bottom right if the back is, "139." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With water damage, deep stains along the top, and a mounting corner adhered to the top right, the artifact is in overall fair condition.
