Description
An unmounted cabinet card photograph of the area around Angels Flight Railway, Third and Hill streets, Los Angeles, ca. 1902. The view was taken from the northeast corner of that intersection looking west toward the Third Street tunnel under Bunker Hill and the funicular railway running up the south side of the street and up the hill. A commercial structure was being built next to the railway up the hill, though residences, soon to be replaced by other commercial buildings, still stood below. To the right is a commercial building with a vegetarian cafe and what appears to be a medical facility (the word "Treatment" is on its face.) With photo album paper residue, light soiling, discoloration, and moderate edge abrasions, the condition is good.
