Color: Black; White
A reproduction black and white photograph of Andrew A. Boyle, ca. 1850s. The image is a head-and-shoulder portrait housed in an oval frame. Boyle wears a dark-colored suit, though the part of the image in which it is seen is faded and details are difficult to discern. He has a beard, without a mustache and thick, dark-colored hair cut above the ears and parted at the left (from the vantage point of the viewer.) Boyle was the father-in-law of William H. Workman and established a ranch that became, in 1876, the community of Boyle Heights, founded by Workman. As a newly produced photograph, the artifact is in mint condition.
