Color: Black and white
A black and white reproduction photograph of Anita D. Temple, ca. 1940s. The image shows Temple at what appears to be the family home seated in a high-back armchair made of a dark wood with what appears to be a velvet seat and arm rests. Faces are carved in the wood just below the ends of the arms. She wears a dark dress with floral print patterning and holds an open book in both hands. She wears glasses and looks down at the book. Other than the chair, a check-like patterned carpet, portions of two windows with sheer curtains, and a very small portion of what may be a table are visible. Temple was the widow of John H. Temple and the couple owned the Homestead from 1888 to 1899. The photograph is in mint condition.
