Description

"Annex Hospital, Sawtelle, 1922." The image shows the hospital in the distance, while in the foreground is a road lined with trees, a small sign reading "CLOSED" and a larger sign warning that no visitors were allowed at posted times. There are also two persons walking on the road and some hills in the background, presumably the Santa Monica Mountains. The title is written in ink on the margin and refers to what is now the Veterans Administration facility near Westwood in Los Angeles. From appearances, the condition seems good.
